Which mtb wheel set--Mavic Crossride disk or Shimano XT/Mavic 717 disk rims? - shimano mtb shoes

I weigh about 225 pounds, and moderately hilly terrain, no big jumps or falls. Mounted on a super-Be BMC stroke. Both models are 08 and remains in the lower range of $ 300. The CROSSRIDE have different views, and there is no real review of the XT wheels. Any thoughts or ideas would be great.
